Phor Kune Kung Fu Wimbledon logo SW19Welcome to the International Phor Kune Kung Fu Association in Wimbledon London SW19

Our goal is to introduce people to the enjoyment and satisfaction of this unique and amazing form of Kung Fu.

Phor Kune Kung Fu can only be learned in Sydney Australia and London UK.

Phor Kune Kung Fu - Literal translation means 'The Intercepting Fist Technique'.

Phor Kune was developed by Grand Master Jeremy Chin after an incredible twenty years of training and research into the Chinese Martial Arts.

Grand Master Jeremy Chin improvised by combining the Northern Chinese kicking style 'Putt Toi' and Southern Chinese 'Laam Keun', which places emphasis on hand techniques. This produces a style that has a well-balanced and deadly combination of hand and foot techniques.

'Chi energy' or Internal Power (Hay Koong) plays an important part of the Phor Kune Kung Fu system, as does the unique 'short sharp jerking techniques, blocking and striking moves. A combination of which can cause a powerful and lethal force to be generated which is fast and effective.

Weapons
The Phor Kune Kung Fu system includes the 'Chin Family Pole Technique' ( Chan Kar Kwan ) and 'Twin Sticks Technique' (Sieong Deun Kwan).

Who's it for?
Phor Kune Kung Fu is similar to Tai Chi, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, Judo, boxing, wrestling, Wu Shu, in that it is a martial art. We are based in Wimbledon, London SW19.

Emphasis is placed on the physical and mental well being of the individual, therefore, Time and Patience are pre-requisites to studying this particular Martial Art.

The practitioners of martial arts come from all walks of life, some view it as a sport, others for self defence, and after a while many adopt it as a life style owing to the great de-stressing qualities of martial arts.

Phor Kune Kung Fu attracts members outside of the Wimbledon and London area: Raynes Park, Kingston, Mitcham, Steatham, Putney, Croydon and as far south as Crawley. The members use their martial arts training as a way to self-improvement. Strengthening powers of concentration through the practise of meditation and peripheral vision. Strengthening the body by exercising flexibility, stamina and conditioning.

The Phor Kune Kung Fu club has been based in Wimbledon for more than 25 yrs. Serving the SW19 and London community by providing a martial art taught in a traditional Chinese format. Akin to yoga, Phor Kune Kung Fu centres the individual developing synergy between mind, body and spirit.

Come and experience your first class of Kung Fu TOTALLY FREE at the Community Centre Wimbledon. We would love to see you.
