INTERNATIONAL PHOR KUNE KUNG FU ASSOCIATION
ABOUT US
Simple, Direct and Effective; this is the essence of the art of Phor Kune
Kung Fu.
- Phor Kune Kung Fu - Literal translation means 'The Intercepting
Fist Technique'
- Phor Kune was developed by Grand Master Jeremy Chin after more than twenty years of training and research into the Chinese Martial Arts.
- Grand Master Jeremy Chin improvised by combining the Northern Chinese kicking style Putt Toi and Southern Chinese styles, Laam Keun, which place emphasis on hand techniques to develop a style that has a well-balanced combination of hand and foot techniques.
- Hay Koong ('Chi' - Internal Power) plays an important part of the Phor Kune Kung Fu system, as does the unique 'short jerking techniques' of this particular style; a combination of which can cause a powerful and lethal force to
be generated.
- Phor Kune Kung Fu uses a Short, Sharp, Jerking, Force in performing blocking and striking techniques which are fast and effective.
- The Phor Kune Kung Fu system includes the 'Chin family pole technique'
( Chan Kar Kwan ) and 'twin sticks technique' (Sieong Deun Kwan).
- Emphasis is placed on the physical and mental well being of the individual, therefore, Time and Patience are the pre-requisites to studying this
particular Martial Art.
- Sifu Devon Ffrench and Sifu Nigel DuCasse are the only authorised instructors of Phor Kune Kung Fu in the UK.
- Grand Sifu Jeremy Chin is the chief instructor in Sydney Austrailia.
